The European Union might “respond swiftly and decisively” against what it deems “unjustified” visa bans imposed by the United States against five Europeans working on combating digital hatred and disinformation, a European Commission spokesperson has said.
EU Officials Condemn US Action as ‘Intimidation’
Officials from Europe such as Emmanuel Macron accused Washington of “bullying and threats”, following the visa restrictions targeted individuals that were central to campaigns to enact legislation regulating US-based technology firms.
