19 of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been won on hard courts
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev won his maiden trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over Corentin Moutet in the tournament title decider.
Medvedev, a former world number one, has experienced a difficult period, achieving just one match at the Grand Slams and undergoing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and issues with his serve in particular - resulted in him falling of the top ten and ultimately separating with former mentor his previous coach.
Presently working with Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently improved in the past month - peaking in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over Frenchman Moutet.
It is the player's maiden trophy since the Italian tournament and first on a hard court since that period of 2023.
Success also signifies the Russian has won 21 championships at 21 different events.
"For the first time I'm at a event with my two daughters together, so to get a championship is really nice," said world number 14 Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my younger daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I got when my child my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had lost his previous six title deciders, including in Halle in the past months.
The player's defensive strategy and recurring outbursts on the playing surface had caused some to doubt if his skill to perform at the elite level was finished.
Yet the 29-year-old has made changes in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and perform positively, backed up by an better service.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult Moutet, taking four of the final five exchanges to take the lead.
The competitors exchanged service breaks in the following set before the challenger, bidding for his first professional championship, gained dominance to push for a decider.
Moutet defended four early-game chances in a tight deciding set before the Russian won the break to that score to secure the win.
Suitably, the winner earned the win with a shot at the net area, with his opponent incapable to control a return after a lengthy match.
